Procedure
Introduction: Ask students to clear their desks and take out a pencil to prepare to take the exam.
Independent Practice: Hand out copies of the exam. Go over the sections, identifying the kinds of questions. There will be 10 character matching questions (2 points each), 5 fill in the blank questions (3 points each), 15 multiple choice questions (3 points each), and 5 short answer questions (4 points each) for a total of 35 questions and 100 points. I will give them the rest of class to complete the exam.

Modification: Allow students with learning disabilities the option to take the test with the Special Education teacher, allow them extra time to complete the exam, or reduce the number of questions on the exam.

Conclusion: Remind them that the rough draft of the essay is due on Tuesday and they must bring 3 copies (one to turn in for a grade, and two to be peer edited by other students). If they do not finish their exam in the 55 minute class time they must come in at overtime to complete it.

Assessment: The exam will assess their retention of the main concepts and themes of the play.
